He Shall Be Called
During the four weeks preceding Christmas (December 2, 9, 16, 23), our church will be making a spiritual journey – a pilgrimage into the birth of Jesus. Join us at Public Worship on Sunday mornings as together we embark on this journey through worship and word.
This year we will be reflecting on the 4 different names the prophet Isaiah gave to the coming Messiah:
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.
There are many names for Jesus, but what do they really mean? Join us as we discover why He is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. You’ll gain a new and relevant perspective on the Savior who was born in a manger over two thousand years ago.
