Resurrection in the Present Tense

March 27th, 2016

By Keas Keasler

Many people think of the resurrection either as an event that happened in the past or as a hope for what God will do for them in the future. But when Paul speaks of Jesus’ resurrection in Philippians 3, he emphasizes the fact that we can experience its power right here and right now. In this sermon, Keas explains how the resurrection of Jesus has altered our world forever, unleashing an explosion of power, like an electrical current of love, joy, and hope running throughout and underneath reality. We can tap into this amazing power by surrendering ourselves to Jesus and confessing our brokenness and need. As we do this, his love will fill the empty places inside of us and our hearts will be transformed. This is resurrection in the present tense!
