Sunday worship is the weekly time we meet to pray, worship, celebrate communion, and learn from the Scriptures with God and each other. We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am in South Miami, right off of US1 (6304 SW 78th St).
“Liturgy” comes from the Greek word meaning “public worship,” and on Sunday mornings you can expect a mixture of ancient and modern liturgy practices. One tangible way we stay connected to the worldwide Christian community is by following the sacred seasons of the Christian calendar (Advent, Lent, etc.) and structuring our worship around the organized cycle of scripture readings known as the common lectionary. However, we also write many of our litanies, praise songs, and other elements of worship, as well as use art and poetry to immerse us in God’s beauty and glory.
Our children are invited to worship with the entire church and then with their peers. Children participate in the first part of our public worship and then move to a separate space to continue their worship with storytime, activities, and snacks. Our babies have a separate room where they are cared for and spend time in a simple story and play.
Whether you’ve been following Jesus for many years, are returning to church after a long absence, or are exploring Christianity for the first time – everyone is welcome to join us for worship. And be sure to hang out afterward as we chat and catch up with one another over coffee and snacks.
